Terms of Service | Ballon d'Or AI

The agreement behind Ballon d'Or AI: who may sign up, consent for uploaded photos, award-night videos, banned uses, credits and plans, refunds, privacy and liability.
oct. 10, 2026

The rules below took effect on 10 October 2026; their most recent revision is dated 15 October 2026.

1. Introduction

Welcome to Ballon d'Or AI. The award-night video maker hosted at ballondorai.video is referred to here as the "Service", and these Terms of Service (the "Terms") cover every visit to it and every use of it. Should you disagree with the Terms, stay away from the Service, because opening or using it counts as accepting them.

2. Service Description

At the moment the Service has a single feature: it turns a still photo into a short award-ceremony clip. One photo of one adult goes in, the "Golden Ball Night" template is applied, and after you set the engine, resolution and length, a third-party video model returns an MP4 lasting between 5 and 19 seconds, framed vertically in 9:16 unless you choose another format. In the clip, the person from the photo appears in evening wear at a made-up football gala, hears their name announced, walks up to the stage and raises a plain golden ball. That ball is never the real trophy, the scene contains no real players, club badges or broadcast graphics, and nothing in it states that you won the actual award. There is no text-to-video mode, no free-form prompt field and no still-image generator today; any new tool will be reflected in revised Terms before it goes live. To render a clip you must be signed in and hold enough credits, whether from a monthly plan or a one-time pack. Completed videos are kept under "My Creations".

We run the Service as an independent fan tool, acting as an interface on top of third-party infrastructure and AI model providers. Neither France Football, the organizers of the Ballon d'Or, any football club nor any player has an affiliation with, endorsement of or sponsorship arrangement with us. "Ballon d'Or" is a trademark belonging to its owner, and we use the name only to describe what the videos depict. The engines in the creator, shown as Seedance 2.0 and Seedance 2.5, are ByteDance Seedance video models reached through the API provider Kie, and your uploaded photo is fed straight to them as the reference for how the person looks. Which models are offered, what they are called, what they can do and who supplies them may all change, and except where we state otherwise, those providers do not endorse Ballon d'Or AI and are not affiliated with it.

Generated videos can come out wrong, partial or not as you expected, and one may look like a clip produced for a different user. Watch each video before relying on it, posting it publicly or sending it to anyone.

3. Eligibility and Accounts

  • Only people who are at least 18 and legally able to accept an agreement of this kind may hold an account. Signing up on behalf of a business or other organization means you confirm you have authority to commit it to these Terms.
  • The account and billing details you give us must be correct, and you need to update them whenever they change.
  • Protecting your login credentials is your job, and you answer for any activity carried out under your account.
  • Should you think another person has got into your account, write to support@ballondorai.video without delay.

4. User Content and Intellectual Property

Whatever rights you lawfully have in the photos you upload and the award videos you generate remain yours. Equally, it falls on you to ensure that what you upload, and what you later do with the results, is lawful and respects other people's intellectual property, privacy, publicity and similar rights. Above all, a photo may show only you or another adult who has agreed to be turned into a video; footballers, celebrities, other public figures and anyone under 18 are excluded, and no clip may be passed off as real footage or as genuine award news about you or anyone else. If the platform you post on offers an AI-generated label, please switch it on.

You give Ballon d'Or AI and the providers working for it a limited, non-exclusive license to host, copy, transmit, process and display what you upload and what the Service produces, so that we can render, save and show your videos. That license exists solely so we can operate, protect, debug and support the Service, and it transfers no ownership of your lawful content to us.

Ballon d'Or AI or its licensors own the Service as such: the code, the interface, the brand, the help material and the original text on the site. Copying, reselling, reverse engineering, scraping or otherwise exploiting the Service for commercial gain is not allowed unless the law permits it or we have agreed to it in writing.

5. Subscriptions, Credits, Billing, and Cancellation

  • Billing authorization: Every purchase of a plan or credit pack authorizes the payment provider named at checkout to collect the price on screen, any taxes that apply and any recurring charges that were disclosed to you.
  • Automatic renewal: A subscription starts a fresh billing period on its own unless renewal has been turned off. You see the billing interval and price before paying.
  • Cancellation: Plans can be cancelled in the subscription management portal or with the cancel option in the pricing or account section. A cancellation halts later renewals and usually takes effect once the period you have already paid for runs out.
  • Credits: How many credits a video uses depends on the model and settings you select. Credits cannot be moved off the account that purchased them, and they expire according to the terms displayed on the pricing page or at checkout. A render that fails or is stopped by a safety filter gives its credits back automatically.
  • Payment processing: Charges are handled by Stripe or by another processor if the checkout page names one. That processor takes care of your full card details, and our servers never keep them.
  • Refunds: Who qualifies for a refund and how to ask for one is covered in our Refund Policy. Consumer rights that the law makes mandatory are not limited by anything in these Terms.

Spotted a charge that seems off? Email support@ballondorai.video so we can investigate before you raise a dispute with your bank or card issuer.

6. Acceptable Use Policy

This section is our Acceptable Use Policy. It governs each photo you upload, each video the Service renders and any effort to get past the protections built into the Service.

None of the categories listed below may appear in a photo you upload or a video you create, and you must not help another person make such material either:

  1. Sexual or NSFW content: Pornography, nudity or sexually explicit videos, sexually suggestive scenes, offers of sexual services or fetish content. Child sexual abuse material (CSAM), sexualized depictions of minors and any grooming or exploitation of minors are met with zero tolerance.
  2. Violent or graphic content: Gore, graphic wounds, torture, violence presented as admirable, terrorism or violent extremism, directions for building weapons of mass destruction, or anything intended to threaten people or help bring about physical harm.
  3. Hateful or abusive content: Anything that attacks, harasses or dehumanizes people, or urges discrimination or violence against them, on the basis of a protected characteristic.
  4. Deceptive impersonation: Intimate imagery made without consent, false portrayals of real people, impersonation, identity fraud, or videos built to mislead viewers about their origin or authenticity, such as presenting a clip as real award news. Turning someone's photo into a video without their agreement falls under this category too.
  5. Intellectual-property or privacy violations: Content that infringes copyright, trademarks, publicity or privacy rights, confidential information or any other proprietary or personal right.
  6. Illegal, fraudulent, or harmful activity: Content that violates the law, supports scams or phishing, distributes malware, promotes regulated misconduct, takes advantage of vulnerable people, or aims to mislead or cause harm.

Beyond that, you may not evade safety filters, test or interfere with the platform's security, script unauthorized access, harvest outputs in bulk, sell access to others without our consent, or use the Service in a way that breaks applicable law or card-network rules.

7. Content Review, Reporting, and Enforcement

Each uploaded photo and each rendered video passes through automated safeguards: keyword blocklists, automated safety classifiers and the moderation that every model provider applies on its side. Because automated tools make mistakes, content that gets flagged or reported can also be reviewed further.

Send reports of banned content, suspected impersonation, child-safety concerns or infringement to support@ballondorai.video with Content Report as the subject line. Tell us the URL or account involved, explain what is wrong and attach any screenshots or other evidence. We aim to acknowledge each report within three business days, and reports about child safety or a credible threat of physical harm are handled first.

Our response depends on how severe the problem is, any earlier history and the law that applies. It may include refusing a request, blocking or deleting content, limiting features, suspending or closing an account, keeping relevant records, or referring suspected illegal activity to the appropriate authorities. Where an account is linked to child exploitation, terrorism, credible threats, fraud or non-consensual intimate imagery, we may suspend it immediately. If you disagree with an enforcement decision, answer the notice you received or contact support and explain the circumstances.

8. Privacy

Our Privacy Policy describes how personal data is collected, used, retained and shared. When you use the Service, you acknowledge that your uploaded photo and the data attached to a render request may go to hosting, storage, safety and AI model providers whenever that is needed to produce the video you asked for.

9. Service Availability and Changes

We provide the Service on an "as is" and "as available" basis. Any of the models, features, credit prices, limits or availability may change. To keep the Service secure, dependable, in step with our providers or within the law, we may alter, pause or retire parts of it. We do not promise uninterrupted access, nor any particular outcome from a given photo or template.

10. Disclaimer of Warranties

As far as the law permits, we give no warranties of any kind, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement or the accuracy of AI-generated output. A generated video is entertainment, and no model output should be relied on as professional guidance, whether legal, medical, financial or otherwise.

11. Limitation of Liability

Where the law allows it, Ballon d'Or AI and its affiliates, service providers and staff bear no liability for lost profits, data, goodwill or business opportunities, or for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary or punitive damages, that arise from the Service. This does not remove any right or liability that the law prohibits us from excluding.

12. Suspension and Termination

You are free to stop using the Service at any time. If we have reasonable grounds to think an account creates a fraud, abuse, security, legal, payment or policy risk, we may restrict, suspend or terminate its access. To close your account or have your personal data deleted, follow the process in the Privacy Policy.

13. Changes to These Terms

Changes to the Service, our providers or the law may lead us to update these Terms. Each new version will appear on this page with a new date at the top, and where the law calls for it, we will give extra notice of significant changes. Continuing to use the Service after a revised version takes effect means you accept it.

14. Governing Law

The laws of the place where the Service operator is established govern these Terms, though they do not override any mandatory consumer protections you are entitled to. Please contact us in writing first and let us try to settle the matter informally before you bring any formal claim.

15. Contact Information
